The Spring Pause.

We think the massive human demonstrations of resistance in Minneapolis, Chicago, No Kings rallies, and so many more have rattled politicians with their show of human force.
But, economically, we need something that will inflict maximum pain on America's business oligarchy -- with minimal effort from the average American.
We propose a 1 month show of economic force with 4 simple steps:
- Cancel Prime and don't shop on Amazon for 30 days;
- Delete ChatGPT for 30 days;
- Don't interact on Twitter for 30 days;
- Don't buy Apple hardware for 30 days;
This plan should be easy, because it's not a permanent change, but a temporary show of force. It's like Dry January, but for the economy. The Spring Pause!
After March is over, you can still use Amazon if you want! You can get back on ChatGPT. You can use Twitter again. You can buy or upgrade your iPhone in April if you want!
But since the American economy is driven by a small oligarchy that answer to the market with quarterly earnings reports, a one month show of our power would have an outsized impact on those reports -- drop in user rates, drop in subscriptions, drop in sales would all hit Q1, rattling boards, and actually getting Trump's attention.
These 4 things would rattle a massive portion of publicly traded corporations -- Amazon, OpenAI, Microsoft, Nvidia, Apple, xAI, and their major investors.
BTW: this plan is a variation of this concept we heard from Scott Galloway recently.
A 1 day strike composed of small businesses who are already doing the right things in the right way for the right people accomplishes almost nothing, in our opinion.
The American economy is driven by the consumer! We have so much power, we just need to point it in the right direction and make it as easy as possible to do so.
